JDMA is well known for presenting courses and field trips to industry and government professionals interested in applying multidisciplinary 3D airphoto and satellite image analysis and interpretation and related GIS applications.
These courses, which our engineers and geoscientists have been presenting for over 50 years, are directed at those wishing to identify earth landforms, soil and rock materials, environments, hazards, natural resources, land cover and land use features from remotely sensed aerial and space imageries – and the application of that information to engineering, geoscience and environmental applications.
Since 1987, JDMA has presented an undergraduate course on terrain and site analysis for the Environmental Engineering Program at the University of Regina. We have also collaborated with researchers from the University of Regina on projects such as low-altitude multispectral imaging of native grasslands (using a drone-mounted multispectral camera) for environmental monitoring, satellite imagery calibration, and invasive species detection and monitoring.
The staff at JDMA have been published in over 100 papers and articles throughout the history of the company.
A collection of those papers are available to view and download.
