David Boschman has an undergraduate and a graduate degree in Geography from the University of Regina and is working at J.D. Mollard and Associates (2010) Limited as a geographer, specializing in GIS, remote sensing and aggregate exploration and management. David’s graduate thesis, which was supported by a NSERC IPS Scholarship, involved assessing changes occurring in northern boreal peatlands in Manitoba using remote sensing.

Over the past 19 years, David has worked extensively on aggregate resource mapping and assessment studies for a wide range of clients (municipal and provincial governments, First Nations, private corporations and individual landowners) across Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba. David has experience planning, managing and executing all phases of aggregate exploration from interpretation of
air photo and other geologic data to a wide range of field exploration techniques including, geophysical surveys, test pitting, auger drilling, sonic drilling programs, sample collection and interpreting laboratory testing results.

David is an experienced GIS and remote sensing analyst with proficiency in a range of geospatial software applications. Since joining the firm David has been heavily involved in many road route location, terrain mapping and assessment studies ranging from short mine access roads to several large (>1,000km) road network studies connecting numerous remote communities in Nunavut, northern Manitoba, on the east side of Lake Winnipeg (Manitoba) and in Northern Ontario. David has participated in the public engagement process with First Nation Communities on several of these road network projects. David has also been involved in several site characterization and assessment studies for hydroelectric generation and wind power generation studies as well as northern transmission line routing studies.
