J.D. Mollard and Associates (2010) Limited [JDMA] is a privately owned engineering, geoscience and environmental consulting agency based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. The firm specializes in applied multidisciplinary air photo, satellite image, and LiDAR interpretation and analysis for a wide range of engineering, geological, geotechnical and environmental applications. JDMA uses state-of-the-art techniques in digital remote sensing, geographic information system (GIS) analysis and 3D visualization to gain a detailed, holistic understanding of the surface and subsurface features and to provide insight into how such features and processes impact their client’s projects – and how these impacts can be avoided or mitigated. Desktop studies are complimented with detailed field studies including aerial reconnaissance by helicopter and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), precision GPS mapping of specific features, electromagnetic (EM) ground conductivity mapping and low impact field investigation techniques.
The professional staff and consultants at JDMA draw on the legacy of its founder Dr. J.D. (Jack) Mollard, OC, a world-recognized expert and pioneer in air photo and satellite image interpretation for engineering and geoscience applications. In the course of nearly seven decades, JDMA has completed over 5,000 consulting assignments for government, academia and private industry, across Canada and throughout the world. JDMA’s assignments took place on every continent on Earth, and in some cases beyond – as on several occasions the firm worked for NASA studying surface features and surficial processes on the planet Mars!
