JDMA operates a CCIL certified aggregate testing laboratory to support our aggregate exploration studies. The JDMA lab is equipped to run a series of common aggregate tests including: sieve analysis, sand equivalent, Atterberg limits, lightweights, fractured faces as well as assess deleterious particles including ironstone and shale. Our aggregate lab technicians provide sample test results that, when combined with field data, offer a full assessment of quantity and quality of a deposit, insights into how to maximize the aggregate resource.
The lab was introduced in 2015 and is managed by Jason Cosford, Ph.D., P.Geo. The laboratory is currently certified by CCIL as a Type C – Aggregate Lab. More details on the CCIL certification can be found on CCIL’s website.
