JDMA offers a full range of geotechnical investigation and design services with experience on a broad spectrum of geotechnical engineering assignments spanning commercial, industrial, mining, pipeline, transmission line, urban infrastructure, and highways and transmission line foundation design. Applications include site investigation and planning, instrumentation, shallow and deep foundations, stabilization of slopes and embankments, foundations and water crossings for roads, pipelines and transmission lines, and assessment of liquefaction and permafrost behaviour.
Our geotechnical lead has been involved in the design and implementation of site investigation programs ranging from simple foundation investigation programs to multi-million dollar marine drilling programs and has consulted on major projects across the country such as the Forrest Kerr Hydroelectric Development (British Columbia) to Cliff’s Chromite Mine (Ontario), the Mary River Iron Ore Milne Inlet ore dock (Nova Scotia), the Conawapa Hydroelectric Development Stage IV design (Manitoba), transmission line foundation design studies for the I1K 230 kV line in northern Saskatchewan, and he has provided geotechnical review, investigation, and design services for design and construction of BC Hydro transmission and distribution assets.
This expertise, offered in combination with JDMA’s longstanding expertise in terrain analysis, ensures that sound geotechnical solutions are developed based on a thorough understanding of the geological, hydrogeological, geomorphic, and historic conditions and project sites.
